2021 was a big year for me. It’s the year we moved into our first home, where we hope to stay long-term. It’s also the year I received an experimental medical procedure, causing neurological and immune issues within a few weeks of my second inoculation. The doctors that took my insurance couldn’t figure it out. I spent thousands on MRIS, nerve tests, all which showed damage. No WAY could it be the experimental procedure, they said! It was a scary time, but I started researching natural medicine, and began swapping out toxic cleaning and self care products, which made a minor dent in my symptoms. Goodbye Botox, hello homemade vinegar countertop sprays. With these swaps, I was able to keep things somewhat under control in the short term.
After 18 months of slowly declining health, my body took a turn for the worse when we discovered more bad news – the contractors we had hired to renovate our master bathroom when we purchased our home had botched the job, and gray water had been slowly dripping into a wall behind our kitchen cabinets, totally hidden, resulting in major black mold growth. The day we opened up the kitchen wall, all my worst symptoms came back – tingling feet, insomnia, memory issues, hair loss.
For what it’s worth – Jesus Christ met me there and then, and I had a prodigal son moment. If you haven’t already surrendered your life to Him, I highly recommend it – it truly is the ultimate glow-up. I began my healing process by following HIM in all things (cross checked with scripture!) and aligning with a functional medicine doctor.
What I’ve learned: you really can’t trust much in 2026. As Isaiah 2:22 states, “stop trusting in mere humans, who have but a breath in their nostrils. Why hold them in esteem?”
There is a time and a place for medical intervention and pharmaceutical drugs – but it certainly isn’t daily. Greed has polluted the industries that we were told to trust. We have everything we need to heal ourselves and live healthy lives – we just need to actually do it.
So I’m here to teach you to do whatever you can for yourself. For the things that you can’t do yourself – I am here to help you find farmers you can trust. I’ll be recommending products that I myself use and can vouch are worth your hard-earned money.
